If your web site has multiple pages, you will want to include a list of frequently asked questions, or FAQs. An FAQ section will give your visitors the answers to the most commonly asked questions, offer information quickly, and give a favorable impression of your business in that you realize the customer's time is valuable and you have made an effort to minimize confusion. FAQs will also save you time, lessening the number of questions you must answer through emails or message boards. Here are some tips to make your FAQs simple to read and understand.

Make your FAQ section a question and answer format and organize the questions by category. Create a table of contents for your FAQs, putting the most common questions first. Hyperlink your categories and individual questions so that visitors can find the precise information they need quickly without having to scroll through the entire list.

You should update your FAQs frequently. If the questions you receive change over a period of time, replace or add to your FAQs to reflect the most common questions during any particular time. Keep your questions and answers short and direct. If a question requires a lengthy reply, provide a link to a more detailed answer.
