Is there such thing as an over-the-counter cream that makes wrinkles disappear? ItÕs a subjective answer. Certain anti-aging advocates contend that many over-the-counter (OTC) wrinkle aids do help diminish the appearance of crowÕs feet or fine lines Š as long as these products are in use.

Whether itÕs over the Internet or in the virtual world, moisturizers, wrinkle creams and lotions are touted as wrinkle reducing aids that replenish skin and thwart further deterioration caused by the sun. On the contrary, many of these emollient creams have not been comprehensively tested in clinical trials.

While wrinkles creams do not work like face-lift, they can improve skin elasticity, suppleness and firmness. Although, wrinkle creams may work overtime, it depends on the ingredients as well as the amount of the moisturizer applied.

Here is a list of the most beneficial wrinkle reducing compounds:

Coenzyme Q10 is a nutrient rich and associated with supporting how energy is managed in cell production. A few clinical trials depicted that Coenzyme-Q10 diminished fine wrinkles around the eyes without any adverse effects. In other laboratory studies, application prior to sun exposure prevents further sun damage.

Alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids and poly hydroxy acids are synthetic versions of hydroxy acids, derived from fruits with sugar. These acids act as exfoliants. Exfoliants are Ń constituents that remove the top layer of old, dead skin while stimulating the growth of new skin. Generally, the new layer of skin grows back smooth with an even pigmentation. : Hydroxy acids are known to improve the susceptibility of sun damage.

Help and Information Skin tip: To avoid the risk of sun damage while using hydroxy or slather on a sunscreen if exposure is inevitable.
