Sufficient Caloric Intake
The leading causes of being overweight and obese are associated with the daily intake of excessive calories. Because diets are restrictive, people generally fail. As a result, daily adequate caloric intake is essential.
To determine the appropriate caloric intake, take your ideal weight and multiply it by 10 percent (for women) and 15 percent (for men). Since, fat does not develop in one night, it requires time to lose the weight and keep it off. Just reducing calories each day promotes a personŐs chances of reaching their weight goal and staying healthy.
Activity. Activity. Activity.
Daily exercise and activity is not limited to the health club or a rigorous workout. Instead of using todayŐs conveniences (elevators, escalators, the car or ordering in), use the time as an opportunity to walk, climb the stairs or take a fast stroll. The idea is to keep the body in motion for caloric burn: activity, activity, activity.
Weight lift, Strength or Resistance Training
Lifting weights does not have to be a gruesome feat. The short intervals of high intensity strength or resistance training can do a body wonders. Not to mention, it will improve the rate at which the body burns energy (calories). In other words, weight lifting is good for the metabolism.
