Being holed up in your room or office cubicle all day using your computer could cause some ramifications. One thing is that you will become addicted to your computer’s joys, either the internet or the games. Then you’ll be spending a whole lot of time with the computer that it might get burned out.
This is not a joke. Just like us humans, when we get too stressed out we get burned and bum out. A computer may be no human but when overused it may overheat. That’s why it’s important for a computer addict or an ordinary computer user to install coolers to a computer.
A cooler is a hardware component of a computer that prevents it from overheating. The form of cooler is in the form of a CPU fan. The CPU fan prevents your computer from failing when it overheats.
When buying or looking for a CPU fan there are some things to take into consideration before purchasing it. Consider this like a shopping tip.
The best CPU fan to get is those that are made of copper and obviously has a strong fan. However, you can never get all the things you want in the world. That’s why getting a copper with a strong will painstakingly noisy. It will be like having a bad car engine at the back of your PC. It will be really rare to find a good combination without the noise.
There are some COU fans or those that are with the casing that runs automatically or manually. This makes the fan not run at full speed when the computer isn’t scorching.
This is helpful because the computer won’t be burning up when it’s idle or just doing simple tasks. Simple tasks such as using Word or Excel compared to playing games. However when you play games, you won’t notice the sound of the fan blowing up.
Here’s an additional tip. Look for Cubic Feet per Minute value, the higher it is, the better. Also look for the decibels, the lower the better.
Thermalite is a good cooler because it is made of copper and you can buy the fans separately. The heat sink of the cooler can be made to fit fans of various sizes.
A reasonably priced cooler that is also efficient is the SLK-800. SLK-900 is more expensive but is suggestible for people who use the computer round the clock. SLK-700 is for computer’s that don’t have many components that overheat and won’t plan on over using the computer.
After looking for a cooler, you would need to pair it off with a fan. The best fan is the one with the highest CFM rating. However, it will be quite a noisy item. Two fans that are quieter and can be controlled manually are Enermax Variable and Thermaltake Smart Fans.
There are also coolers that have heat sink and fans together. One that is recommendable is the Thermaltake Volcano Coolers. It is reasonably price and performs well too.
