1. Try a different theme. Maybe you've had apple decor sitting on your cabinets for years because you can't afford all new kitchenware. Try a different theme with the same or similar colors, such as Coca-Cola. 2. Rearrange things. Exchanging your coffee pot for your toaster creates a new atmosphere and can lead to new ideas for decor as well. 3. Add greenery- a cactus in the window or a spider plant by the table could add another layer of "growth" to your kitchen. 4. Treat yourself to new curtains or blinds to brighten the place up. Whether your curtains are old and faded or you're just tired of looking at them, something different and new could a big step in the right direction for improving your kitchen. 5. Repaint and/or repaper your walls. A new color or even just a new coat can make your kitchen feel like a brand new place. 6. Replace your worn-out tile with the nice marble tile or hardwood floor you've been yearning for. Your feet deserve a nice place to be also! 7. Get some new bling! There are many colors and styles of cabinet doorknobs and hinges to choose from so find something a little out of the ordinary to make your kitchen a little flashier. 8. Add an element of personality with rugs and wall decor, such as pictures, clocks and calendars. 9. Buy a new toy. The kid in all of us needs something new to play with every once in a while. Get that new, high-tech stove you saw in the store. Or if cost is an issue, try something little like a quesadilla maker or a cappuccino machine. 10. Include furniture in your kitchen. A plush chair in the corner could become your favorite place for a cup of tea and some personal time. You want to make your kitchen a place that you want to go so do whatever will make you happy.
