3. You can contact the Internal Revenue Service at 1-800-829-4477 for prerecorded tips or speak to a representative at 1-800-829-1040.
4. Make sure that all forms are filled out completely and accurately before sending them in.
5. Make copies of your documents before sending them to the IRS.
6. Many stores offer discounts on tax day to help taxpayers de-stress. Take advantage of these opportunities.
7. Don't panic. Make a list of what you need to compile and check off one item at a time.
8. Find out which post offices are open the latest in order to give yourself as much time as possible.
9. Use an IRS-provided envelope to ensure that you are sending your information to the correct location.
10. If you just cannot seem to organize your information in time, do not worry. Go to irs.gov to file for an extension.
